Welcome to St Peter's Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.842 and its moored Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners.
We meet at the Howard Memorial Hall in Wigmore under the jurisdiction of The Mark Province of Kent.

The Mark Degree
The Mark Companion Order is open to all Master Masons. The Order is generally perceived to be more informal than the Craft and there is no doubt that among Mark Master Masons you will ever find friends.
The ceremony of admission is called "Advancement" and chronologically follows that of Fellow Craft. The legend of the Order is most instructive and, is well founded on statements of Holy Writ, relating to a period in the building of the Temple prior to the death of Hiram Abif. It teaches the lesson that education is the reward of labour and contains a dramatic message.
The symbol of the Order is a keystone, on which is engraved certain mystic letters, the meaning of which is revealed during the ceremony.
The Mark Order assists old and young brethren alike to gain experience in Freemasonry, and thus make their mark, without first having been installed in the Craft Chair.
The Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariner
The Companion Order of Royal Ark Mariner (R.A.M.), is worked under the aegis of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons, yet has no connection with that of the Mark, save that to join one must be a subscribing Mark Master Mason.
In essence, the Royal Ark Mariner Order stands alone and is entirely unrelated to any other Order in Freemasonry. It is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring and beautiful that we find in Freemasonry. There is only one ceremony of “Elevation”, and this is relatively short.
As its name suggests it has a nautical flavour, with the “Elevation” of a candidate into the Order, commemorating the providence and mercy of God, with regard to the legend of the Deluge, as recorded in Genesis.
During the ceremony, analogies are drawn between the dangers of the flood and the dangers of life. How we should strive to reach the “Ark”, the haven of rest, just as Noah’s family and the other occupants of his Ark did.
